Anger Is at the Heart of War
In today’s news, we read that Israel and Hamas are on the brink of all-out-war. In Belfast, Northern Ireland, today one group is verbally threatening violence because a parade commission banned them from a particular parade route. Anger. Toxic anger. It is at the heart of war. Yes, there are land disputes and ethnic disputes adding to the war and threat of violence, but disputes can be handled without violence…..if the hearts are without toxic anger. Our science shows this: forgiveness education reduces toxic anger. We need forgiveness education…..now….so that future generations can be protected from angry hearts in those who hold power. Maybe they will use their power more wisely when schooled in forgiveness.

This has been hidden from those in authority, those with the power, for a long, long time. It is time that they see what you at the International Forgiveness Institute are seeing and then act on it. The world would be safer in the long term.
Maybe we should let a few heads of powerful armies hear this and carefully reflect on it. Too many follow mad-men. If they refuse to follow, the mad-men’s power is therefore diminished.
This is an important idea. If it is true, then these angry people have spread too much misery to too many people. This kind of anger does need to be reigned in early in a person’s life if it will not be unleashed on unsuspecting others.
I hadn’t thought about this before. Hitler? Angry. How about what is happening in Gaza. Any anger there that led to all the blood and pain? Marxism feeds on anger and revolution and look what happened in China, Russia, and Cambodia.
